The Scarlet Quill

Common Grammatical Pitfalls

Essays: History of Fanfiction

Dear Snivellus

Welcome to The Owl Post!

Dear TOP Readers,

It's been ages since you've all seen anything from us and we do apologize. After six months of postponing, computers going wonky, vacations and school getting in the way, we finally have our second issue off the ground! We're extremely pleased that it's finally here and we do hope that you'll enjoy all of our hard work!

This issue that has been a long time in coming includes all of our standard articles, such as: the hilarious Quick Quills that is sure to elicit a giggle from anyone, an essay on the history of our beloved world of fanfiction (it goes much deeper than one might think, I assure you!), the ever-helpful Common Grammatical Pitfalls, which, in this issue, focuses on homophones. We also are proud to give you an interview with our own Annie (_weetzie_bat_) and Dear Voldie, a member favorite, is still utterly hysterical. There's also The Scarlet Quill that will (hopefully!) help you out with your writing hang-ups. The UR News will surely catch up on all the goings-on that you (might have) missed, and don't forget about the UR Spotlights, which will remind you of past Spotlights and some that you might have missed!

This issue has truly been a huge effort on everyone's part and thanks to all the hard-working Owls; we finished something we're all incredibly (and ridiculously) proud of!

We are still tinkering with the Newsletter and any advice, suggestions, or comments you might have will surely help us. Please send all comments to theurowlpost@unknowableroom.org!

Now -- sit back, enjoy and read away our second issue of The Owl Post!

Assistant Supreme Owl Dropping Cleaner (JSODC),
~Lauren
