Biography

I completed college a while ago. I majored in anthropology and sociology with a minor in film studies, which is my way of saying I'm interested in everything, but particularly the lives of people, the nature of society, and the way we tell stories about both.

My Myers-Briggs personality type (check it out online) borders between an INTP or an INTJ. This means that I "can demonstrate remarkable skill in explaining complex ideas to others in simple terms, especially in writing," but that I don't always understand the point of social rituals.

I absolutely adore writing, but it's only in the past few years that I've seriously seen it as a major part of my life. Since then, I have focused more on writing and am surprised and pleased at each tiny step forward I take in my writing skills. Each improvement encourages me to write even more.

I started writing fanfic with Buffy, then left it all behind to concentrate on original fiction. I didn't get into HP fandom until HBP. Even then, I was reluctant to get back into fanfic, but the creative bug bit me so hard, I couldn't ignore it. It was also refreshing and fun, as I was having trouble with the editing of my novel and writing had become a bit of a chore. It was wonderful to follow my instincts entirely and not worry if it would be acceptable to a publisher and the current marketplace. I'd like to continue to write fanfic, but I also want to use this renewed enthusiasm for writing to continue my original work and eventually get published.
