<s>So, um. Chris fails at adminness. In an attempt to split this topic and move all the hijacking to Hijacking, I kind of ... deleted the non-hijacking part. Because I am, quite obviously, an idiot. Er. Sorry.</s>

So, about those prompts. I was thinking... should we post all of them? Maybe some authors wouldn't like theirs revealed, no?

Fic exchange authors, would you have a problem with having your prompts posted here?

<s>*didn't follow her prompt all that well and is vaguely ashamed to admit it* *grins*</s>

Various sources agree, according to the old topic.

<s>*laughs at Lona* You're still an OMBA, even if the B's a bit lacking today</s>

*nods* I just don't remember who agreed.

<s>In my defence, I have a splitting migraine, and I did the forum-modding thing while reading Havemercy and watching Six Feet Under *grins* Piece of advice? Those are not good things to do when you have a headache *headdesk* Just saying.</s>

...and of course, I'm hijacking the topic already. Again. Bugger.

PROMPTS.

<s>*laughs* 'S'why we love you, hon.</s>

I dunno, there seems to be a general preference for posting prompts. Fewer things to post are always awesome.

<s>Eh. Few people ever do, and that's the point.</s>

*laughs* You actually left some of the relevant posts agreeing to this idea in the new topic, but it's okay. You have Runi to be your better half.

So... prompts. Er. What were people's inspiration for theirs, how did you come up with it?

Me = better half? When the hell did that happen?

<s>She's everyone's, K.</s>

Inspiration for my prompt: The show I was currently Assistant Stage Managing, which never left my head. (I was also in tech week for the show when Chris demanded a prompt from me. So, you know, doubly damned.)

When she got a splitting migraine and tried to do the forum modding thing while reading Havemercy and watching Six Feet Under.

Mine inspiration was randomosity, and Lona's comment last year that she expected me to have done something random like 'a squirrel, a tank, the colour purple', instead of the somewhat srs prompt I gave. Sorry, mystery writer for making your life difficult trying to figure it out..

Highly commendable occupations both, if I may say so myself. Havemercy is the title of Jaida Jones' latest book—she of Shoebox fame. *grins* It's awesome.

I did leave some posts there, but I wasn't sure what to split out, since there were random prompts-related comments in the midst of all the hijackingness.

Incidentally, mine was a Six Feet Under quote—"Are you familiar with the psychological term 'projection?'"

Ooh, Chris, Havemercy? *grins* Tell me what you think, I loved it.

...I was going to offer my input on the prompts and then remembered I was forced to flake. <strike>Again. Please do not kill me, I know I displease you.</strike>

Sara, I'd still love to know why you chose the prompt that you did.

I realized I had to write my prompt the day is was due, and I just thought, "What story would I really like to stumble across on ff.net right now? What characters would I want to know more about?" And then I rambled and very able people interpretted me both this year and last and gave me wonderful Christmas gifts.

Mm. Hannah, do you maybe want to...delete the comment you wrote that sort of reveals what you wrote? Because I'm in favour of maintaining the mystery until the official reveals.

Now, I just want to know who wrote mine so that I can web-glomp them.

How would you lot rate the quality of fic exchange gifts this year? Most of the ones I've read so far seem to be all kinds of brilliant, (yours included, Miranda).

*is trying to co-operate with non-hijackingness*

I really liked all of them, thus far. *laughs at her own joke, only a few left...* I even liked the ones I wrote.

Also, Christy, my art presents to those people will be sent as soon as my dad stops hogging the flippin scanner for family photos.

As has been mentioned before: My judgment re: quality of fics is probably not the one to trust, because some of the ones that came out well started off...not-so-well. Or I just got insanely sick of them.

I've only read a couple.

AND WHOEVER WROTE MINE, I liked it, and I keep meaning to review but then wondering if I should ust wait for them to post it on their own account. But don't think my non-reviewing means I didn't like it, 'cause I did.
