The Course of True Love Never Did Run Smooth by hpboy13

Harry and Hermione ran after Ginny.  They couldn’t find her anywhere.  Feeling discouraged, they finally went to the common room.  There, they saw a sight that really shocked them.

Ginny had run to the common room.  Her original plan was to throw herself on her bed and cry.  However, a much better plan began formulating in her head.

She hid and waited while the common room filled up with Gryffindors.  Then she went in and made a beeline for Ron.  He immediately asked her, upon seeing the look on her face, “What’s wrong?”

Ginny told him, “I walked in on Harry and Hermione doing it in the Room of Requirement.”

Ron yelled at the top of his lungs, “WHAT?!?”  All eyes in the common room turned towards them.

Ginny quickly said, “Yeah, McGonagall gave us a foot-long essay for homework!”  This seemed to satisfy everyone.  Ginny whacked Ron on the head and said, “So here’s what we’re gonna do.  If, they want to play games with us and our emotions, fine!  We can play with their emotions just as easily.”  With that, she dragged Ron over to where Dean and Lavender were snogging.

Ginny sidled up to Dean and coyly said, “Hey, hot stuff.  What’s up?”

Dean stuttered awkwardly, “N-n-nothing.”

Lavender glared at them.  Ron, however, had finally gotten what Ginny was doing.  He put his arm around Lavender and said, “So, Lav, how’ve you been?”  Lavender’s frown instantly broke into a stupid grin, and she let out a shrill giggle.

Ginny, glad that Ron had finally caught on, pressed herself against Dean very suggestively.  She purred, “Have you missed me?”  She could feel his reaction to her.

Dean, beginning to get more comfortable around Ginny, said in a tone filled with lust, “Yeah, I did baby.”  Ginny cringed inwardly, but leaned up and caught his lips in a kiss.

Ron said, “You know, I’ve missed you too, Lav.”

Lavender said, “I’ve missed you too, Won-Won.”  Ron cringed inwardly, but leaned down and kissed her.  And it was this sight that Harry and Hermione walked in on.
