Godric's Hollow; what a wonderful place. Remus had been there many times, visiting James, Lily, and their newborn child Harry.
Never again.
Two vivid pictures were in Remus Lupin's mind as he went to the graves of James and Lily Potter to quietly mourn. One picture was of the four Maurader's, taken in their sixth year. The second picture was of the "Trio", as Remusliked to call them, taken in their third year.
They were so alike in some ways, and so different in others. The inseparable Trio consisted of three strange people; three strange heroes. First was Harry Potter; The Boy Who Lived, a half-blood. Then came his best mate, Ron Weasley; a definite blood-traitor, and often thought inferior to his other two friends. And lastly, Hermione Granger; brilliant and at the top of her year - but yet, a "Mudblood".
These inseparable kids, were so alike, and so different in it all. Harry shone out above both of his friends, as the "Chosen One". Hermione was so clever, and always got her friends out of the difficult spots. Ron was often shunned and shone much less than his other two best friends. Yet, all three of them never lost their trust for one another and stuck by each other in the hardest of times.
The Mauraders consisted of himself; a 'brilliant' boy - the half-blood. James Potter was the liberal pure-blood, with undying love and loyalty for his friends and family. Peter Pettigrew nearly thought of himself as a Squib, with betrayal and fear before friends - but still a half-blood. And of course, Sirius Black; the pure-blood, with friends and family before betrayal.
Laying a fresh white lotus at both of their graves, Remus broke down and fell to his knees, crying.
He'd never meant for this to happen to his James. He'd never meant for Harry to be left all alone. Peter Pettigrew should've never been chosen as the Secret-Keeper.
"I'm so sorry, James. So sorry. We never should've protected Peter." Remus whispered, tears running down his cheeks. "But I'll protect Harry with my life, Lily. I promise."
His head bent before the graves of his best friend and his wife, he wished that the Maurader's, just like the inseparable Trio, had been a Trio too.
How was it? I'm thinking to have Blacks perspective and Harry's too at Godric Hollow's ... Reviews are welcome! <3
