The theme of transition, be it a quick fall or a slower journey, is very *human* and identifiable, and I like how you've captured it for these wartime adults. It would have been interesting to see Peter here too (just because I'm curious as to what you'd do with him), but I very much enjoyed the characters you did explore. The final paragraph wraps it up nicely. Thanks for sharing this!

(March 17th 2008, 8pm)Severus and Remus are definitely my favourites. I almost sort of wish he had killed Tobias back then—but Severus would've been even more screwed-up if that had happened, yeah? I like your view of Remus—it's an interesting perspective on his tolerance for the boys' foolishness.
